Our Funders


The CARes Project is a certified Community Financial Development Institution (CDFI) funded in part by the US Treasury. The CDFI fund matches locally raised dollars to help support our Car Ownership Program. 


As of 2019, The United Way of Forsyth County joined The CARes Project in our mission to assist low-income working adults buy a quality used car with a warranty, build their credit score, and learn how to manage their money. 


The CARes Project is grateful for the financial assistance BB&T provides to our organization. Providing over $24,000 in donated funds for The CARes Project.

The CARes Project is so thankful for the financial assistance Davie Community Foundation contributes to our organization. Graciously giving $18,000 in donated funds for our Car Ownership Program.


Truliant Federal Credit Union has granted $7,500 dollars to our program and continues to be a financial supporter of The CARes Project. We are so appreciative of our corporate funders.

Cars purchased through the CARes Project come through select franchise dealerships that provide good quality cars at a reasonable cost.

Each car comes with a 12-month, 12,000 mile warranty provided by the dealer
