David Roddick Receives Lifetime Achievement Awards for his Volunteer Service

On April 26, 2022, David Roddick received the Governor's Volunteer Service Award for Lifetime Achievement in Volunteer Service, and the President's Volunteer Service Award for Lifetime Achievement. Among his many years of volunteer work, David dedicated several years of his time to creating a nonprofit agency that offered a car ownership program serving credit-challenged working adults who are unable to obtain low-interest car loans from traditional lenders. That non-profit agency, started under the umbrella of the United Way of Davie County, NC, became The Cares Project--a 501(3)C nonprofit social enterprise, certified as a Community Development Financial Institution by the U.S. Treasury, serving low and moderate-income, credit-challenged, working adults in Forsyth, Davie, and Davidson counties. Congratulations, David!!
