Need a reliable way to get to work or to school?

We make low-interest vehicle loans to low-income working adults.

The Car Ownership Program provides a low-interest car loan, gives you money management skills, a personalized household budget, and financial confidence.

I'm so excited! I got my car through the CARes Program. This program was an eye-opener for me, it helped me budget, and it helped me get my credit score together. This car is going to be very rewarding not for only me but for my daughters as well. We have reliable transportation! I'm so blessed and grateful for this opportunity and I could not have picked a better program.

Car Ownership Program Requirements

Be 18 years old or older
Have a valid NC Driver's License
Live in Forsyth, Davie, or Davidson County
Be steadily employed for a year
Work at least 30 hours per week
Have sufficient income to afford the monthly payment
Have a credit score of 600 or less
Have a household income of 80% AMI or less and/or live in a CDFI Investment Area
Willingness to participate in the financial coaching and credit counseling process
